The total number of homes sold in seven Katy- and Fulshear-area ZIP codes declined in August compared to August 2023.
There were 620 homes sold in seven local ZIP codes in August versus 711 for the same month last year. It was also less than in July, which saw 644 homes sold.
Six of the seven local ZIP codes saw the number of homes sold decline year over year, with the biggest decrease in ZIP code 77094 with a 36.36% decline. ZIP code 77441 saw the only year-over-year increase, jumping 31.65% in that time. Meanwhile, ZIP code 77493 was the most active ZIP code, with 225 homes sold.
Of the total 620 homes sold, homes in the $250,000-$449,999 price range sold the most frequently, with 346 homes sold.
The median home sales price varied across ZIP codes year over year. ZIP codes 77094 and 77441 stayed consistent, 77423 saw a 27.12% increase and the other four ZIP codes decreased.
Meanwhile, the average number of days homes spent on the market increased in five of the seven ZIP codes. Homes sold quickest in ZIP code 77094, with an average of eight days on the market for the seven homes sold. Homes spent the longest on the market in ZIP code 77441 for an average of 74 days.
